Eucalyptus essential oil

I love Eucalyptus trees with their smooth, grey trunks and spreading branches, and that sharp, sweet smell on a hot day. The oil is the same, sharp and sweet, stimulating and calming. There are many chemotypes of Eucalyptus many of which are used in aromatherapy and each one has slightly different properties. Eucalyptus Globulus and Radiata are almost interchangeable in their actions but I prefer to us Radiata as it is milder and better suited to working with animals and children.

Animal Aromatherapy: essential oils and aromatic extracts for your pet's health

Why Use Essential Oils for Animals?

You can use essential oils (also known as aromatherapy) for horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs... in fact essential oils and other aromatic extracts, such as hydrosols, can be used for the health of any animal. These aromatic extracts are an effective and gentle answer to many of today's common health and behaviour problems, often bringing relief where conventional medicine holds no answer.
